The History of Polbeng   In the early of 2000, bengkalis government, through Gema Bahari Institution built a college, Shipping Polytechnic of Bengkalis and had three study programs that were ship electricity engineering, ship structure engineering and ship machine   engineering. By the time, Shipping Polytechnic of Bengkalis changed the name into Polytechnic of Bengkalis and under Bangun Insani Institution (YBI) Bengkalis, it had five study programs they were : Shipping engineering, machine engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering and business administration. In July, 2001, Polytechnic of Bengkalis accepted the first batch of students. In 2006, Polytechnic of Bengkalis added two study programs, English and Informatics Engineering.
